I recently got a bigger check from Google, this one is $500, I am relative new to AdSense so the $500 was the first milestone 
Next step is getting to 1000$ then $5000, $10000 and hopefully I can get to over 100000$ monthly checks like the AdSense gurus
For the people that do not know how this works it is like this:
If you have a website or blog, you go to Google and sign-up for AdSense program, Google then gives you some html code (by your AdSense account interface), you place this code on your site and ads related to site content will show on your site, when your site visitors click these ads you get money in your AdSense account. Once a month (if you have over $100) Google will send you a check like this one, take this check to a local bank, after a while (one month with my bank) you get the money in your bank.
Congratulations on reaching that milestone! At some point you’ll probably want to switch to electronic funds transfer instead of waiting for those big cheques to arrive… because then you start worrying about what’s happening to the cheque in transit!

Hi, I just wanted to add my 3 cents, yes my opinion is inflated (ha).
Even though that may look like a lot to some, you will probably make a lot more if you use CPA offers. There are many networks that you can sign up for and select offers that match your web site theme.

How much time you need to earn $500 from first time?? How you done to success this step???
@bangla newspaper: I think after 2 years after I learned about AdSense, now monthly payments are around $1200 - $1500. It can go up and down, CPC is affected by many things, and many not related to your site.

@NinjaWatson I don’t know a way to make money fast and I think AdSense is not a way to make money fast, you need to give it a lot of time, and I mean working, adding content and optimizing not just waiting
