This is the effect stumbleupon has on web sites, it can send you over 3000 visitors a day, it all depends on how good your content is.

For the ones that are not familiar with StumbleUpon service, is goes like this …. (it is similar to digg or delicious or others) … a user visits your site, it votes for it by clicking the StumbleUpon button in his/her browser (there are other ways), then other users will see it his/her profiles, as more users vote for the link more and more people will come as the link will appear in more places (more user profiles). That is only if the visitors liked the link, otherwise they can give it a thumb down and link will not get too much traffic anymore.

Here is a sample, a link containing “funny pictures” was bookmarked by a StumbleUpon visitor, then more users liked it, over 30 users bookmarked it and here are the effects, over 3000 unique visitors in one day.

If you use to pay for advertising this would have cost about 300$ but stumbleupon is free traffic as long as your site has good content that users appreciate.
